Sponsor Me

And help me reach my target of £1,350

Current target level: 68%

Current total: £947.56 with further £300 pledged! Thank you everyone!

As an added incentive I will randomly pull out a name from the list of donations I have received, and send them something nice in the post. It could be anything from HMV gift vouchers to a day out! Please keep donating and I will announce recipients of random gifts on this page.

The target is large and time is short, so absolutely anything you can offer will be greatly received. I am not shy so if you have anything you would like to see me do for sponsorship, let me know!

I will soon set up an RSS feed of events and news, so keep your eye out for that (if you are that way inclined!).

So use the links on the right, to donate through the MAG web site or PayPal, and help me save lives and build futures with MAG.

It’s not just money

I am also in need of items i can use as prizes (this can be offers of service as well) for raffles and auctions, unwanted Christmas gifts for eBay charity sales and any offers of help in fund raising.

Don’t be shy, get in touch!

More about MAG

A MAG worker defusing a mine in Vietnam.

MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is a neutral and impartial humanitarian organisation clearing the remnants of conflict for the benefit of local communities worldwide. MAG is co-laureate of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize, awarded for its work with the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL), which culminated in the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty - the international agreement that bans antipersonnel landmines, sometimes referred to as the Ottawa Convention.

MAG moves into current and former conflict zones to clear the remnants of those conflicts, enabling recovery and assisting the development of affected populations. MAG consults with local communities and works to lessen the threat of death and injury, while releasing reclaimed and safe land and other vital resources back to the local population, helping countries to rebuild and develop their social and economic potential.

MAG has worked in around 35 countries since 1989 and currently has operations in Angola, Burundi, Cambodia, Cyprus, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Laos, Lebanon, Republic of Congo, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Vietnam.
